The Sooners overcame a game-opening 9-0 Tulsa run and six point halftime deficit en route to a 65-61 win over the Hurricane Friday night in Tulsa.
Senior forward Theresa Schuknecht led the Sooners with 14 points and chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Sooners, who improved to 1-1 with Friday's win over Tulsa, will play Oral Roberts in the second game of the two Classic on Saturday. The Golden Eagles opened their season Friday with an impressive 67-47 win over Oklahoma State in the first game of the Classic on Friday. Tip-off between the Sooners and Golden Eagles is set for 6 pm.
