Cody Freeby (6-3, 220, 4.8) of Fort Worth (Christian HS), Texas is one of the top punters in the country. As a junior, he was a USA Today second team All-American punter as he averaged 48 yards per punt.
Freeby told Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops on Saturday before the Sooners game with Texas Tech that he is switching his verbal from LSU to Oklahoma. Back in August, Freeman had committed to the Tigers, but now he says he will be a Sooner next season.
The Sooners just feel that Freeby is too good of a punter to pass up at this time.
