RECRUITING: Michigan DE surprised with visit to OU

Saginaw, Mich. defensive end Lamarr Woodley talks about his visit to Norman

LAMARR WOODLEY, DE, 6-2, 250, 4.7, SAGINAW , MICHIGAN:

JH: How did your visit at OU go this weekend?

LW: "It went real good and it was more than I thought it was going to be. I liked everything about it from the players to the coaching staff. I loved the crowd and the people at the game. The atmosphere was real live and it was real loud. I couldn't even hear him sometimes when he was trying to talk to me."

JH: What did the visit do for you when it comes to OU?

LW: "It gave me a chance to learn more about them. I thought it was going to be out in the country and that was wrong. Norman is a real nice place. It just gave me a real nice chance to learn everything that I could about them."

JH: How would you say your recruiting is stacking up now that you have visited OU?

LW: "Everybody is neck and neck and they have a good chance. They play real good defense and keep a lot of pressure on the quarterback. Their offense and defense were working things real well and I was very impressed with how they played."

JH: Do you feel your skills would fit in well with the OU defense?

LW: "I would fit in real well and they do the same thing that we do. We play very similar schemes."

JH: What is next on your recruiting schedule?

LW: "I have USC next weekend then Michigan on the sixth of December and then in January I am going to Florida."
