Against the Spread…

Last week there was not really a point spread to handicap, but this week the Sooners face off against a legit D1 school and they are still favored by over three touchdowns!!! In this feature we give free analysis on which side you should try to cash in on this weekend, as well as give away free 'Premium Access' for a month to whoever can correctly guess the final score.

Oklahoma Vs. Cincinnati:

Game Time: 2:30

Line: -21.5

ATS Record: 0-0

Oklahoma is going to face a much stiffer test this week when the Cincinnati Bearcats roll in to Norman.

Cincy is fresh off of a 10-win season - one of their most fruitful ever - and have aspirations of winning a Big East Championship this year under the tutelage of offensive guru Brian Kelly.

Kelly is a masterful offensive coach that is known for his innovative and daring play calling and has a pretty good overall head coaching record at 148-52-2.

It is pretty fair to say that the "Cats" will be stepping it up a huge notch this weekend as well. The last tradition rich non-conference opponent they faced on the road was Ohio State (2006) and they were rolled up 37-7.

Do not let that one fool you however…

The Bearcats were a powerful machine on the road in 2007, only losing one game to Pittsburgh. They were able to go on the road and upset teams like South Florida and Rutgers.

They lost an experienced quarterback in Ben Mauk, but former starter Dustin Grutza was able to come back in and engineer an attack that tallied up over 557 yards in week one.

Cincinnati is a stiff test and they have a number of players that have potential to play on the NFL level after they are done with their college ball, but the Sooners are so strong up front, on both sides of the ball, they could completely obliterate anybody at anytime.

I have a strong belief that OU has been preparing for this game for awhile now. Talking with the players in the interview room on Monday you got the feeling that they knew a whole lot about this match-up.

After last years "Debacle in the Desert" this is now a statement game for the Sooners and the Big 12.

OU will come in looking to prove that they are a legit National Championship caliber team, and what better way to prove it by mashing on a team that the national media has pumped up to be this week's potential Cinderella.

OU has too many weapons, too much team speed, and are way too dominant and experienced in the trenches for Cincinnati to pull it off, or even come close.

I see OU running away with this one with a big play on special teams, steady play from Sam Bradford, and a key turnover on defense.

While this is not an easy one, I would take the Sooners minus the points.

OU- 37

Cincy- 10

We will also be giving away a free month of Premium Access to away to anyone that can correctly predict the score of this week's game.
