ABOUT THE GAME
No. 23 TCU, 4-0 for the first time since 2003, travels to No. 2 Oklahoma.
TCU is tied for the nation's third-longest current winning streak at seven games. The
Frogs trail only BYU (14) and Georgia (11) while being tied with USC (seven).
The Frogs have won their last two games in Norman. Both victories came in season
openers. TCU won 20-7 in 1996 and 17-10 over the fifth-ranked Sooners in 2005.
TCU's 2005 win in Norman is Oklahoma's only loss in its last 34 home games over
the past six seasons. It is also one of just two defeats in 58 home contests overall for
Bob Stoops in his 10-year career as the Sooners' head coach.
Under head coach Gary Patterson, TCU is 4-4 against ranked teams.
With the 17-10 win in 2005, Patterson is 1-0 as a head coach versus Oklahoma.
With Oklahoma at No. 2, the Frogs have not faced an opponent that high in the polls
since dropping a 45-10 decision at top-ranked Miami (Fla.) in 1992.
Oklahoma will play at TCU in the 2012 campaign.
Oklahoma holds a 6-4 series lead over TCU. The Frogs are 3-1 versus the Sooners
in Norman and 1-4 in Fort Worth. The first game in the series took place in Oklahoma
City in 1944 with the Sooners taking a 34-19 decision.
TCU has won two of the last three meetings with 1996 and 2005 victories in Norman
sandwiched around a 10-9 OU win in Fort Worth in 1998.
Former Oklahoma quarterback Justin Fuente is in his second season as TCU's running
Fuente played two seasons (1996-97) with the Sooners. In 1996, he set an OU freshman
record with 11 touchdown passes. He played his final two years at Murray State.
In TCU's 20-7 win at Oklahoma in 1996, Fuente completed 6-of-16 passes for 88
yards with one touchdown and an interception.
TCU snapper Clint Gresham was at Oklahoma for one season (2005) as a redshirt.
He was in a Sooner uniform when TCU won in Norman in 2005.
TCU cornerback Alex Ibiloye is the older brother of Oklahoma safety Joseph Ibiloye.
