TIM WASHINGTON, DE, 6-4, 234, 4.7, SUGARLAND DULLES, TEXAS:
JH: How did you break your foot?
TW: "I was playing on it fractured. I knew it was hurt on every step that I took, but I wanted to play through my senior season and I finally broke it in the fifth game of the season. I actually broke it at the beginning of the game against Clements making a tackle and something snapped in my foot and I couldn't put any pressure on it anymore."
JH: Do you know your stats through five games?
TW: "I don't really know off the top of my head."
JH: Are you a definite defensive end in college?
TW: "Yes, I guess defensive end is where I am going to play. I am up to 240 pounds now. I think I can play at 260 pounds in college. I haven't been in a great weight program yet so when I get into college that I will improve and I should get a lot stronger."
JH: What did you think of your visit to OU?
TW: "I enjoyed it. I was different, because I wasn't expecting what I saw. I learned a few things and I wouldn't say it was amazing, but I really enjoyed what I saw. I saw some things that I liked about the lifestyle at OU, how their academic system works and just about their football team in general. I really enjoyed my visit."
JH: You said you weren't expecting certain things at OU, could you get a little more specific on what those things might be?
TW: "If I am going to go to a school I am going to go where I see good chemistry among the players and among the players and the coaches. I like to see great communication between players and coaches on a team and Oklahoma was very impressive in that area."
JH: What do you think about the way that OU plays their defensive ends?
TW: "Basically, their defensive end play the way I like to play. They are aggressive in rushing the quarterback and they chase the ball hard, which is exactly how I like to play."
JH: Did your visit to OU enhance their chances of signing you?
TW: "It enhanced my possibilities of signing with them. I don't think there is any question about that."
JH: What is your future visit schedule?
TW: "I am going to Ohio State next weekend or at least I am supposed to. I may be taking my ACTs that weekend and I don't want to miss that. I want to get that taken care of. If I take my test that weekend I will reschedule my Ohio State visit."
JH: What other schools are you considering?
TW: "Florida was in it, but I haven't talked to Coach Tolbert in a while. I am considering several other schools at this point, but I don't want to get into it because I don't know how interested I am. Michigan has called and I may visit there."
