Red River Week is Here!!!

There is no rivalry that is more storied than the annual match-up between Oklahoma and Texas, and this year the two teams will once again be vying for Conference and National Championships, as both will enter the 2008 contest undefeated.

There have been a host of huge games over the years between Oklahoma and Texas, but we all know that the biggest one is the next one, and after both squads went on the road and routed their opponents it looks like whoever wins will be poised to make a serious run at a National Championship.

Heading in to the 2008 version of the rivalry both teams are ranked in the top five in both polls. Oklahoma is the number one team in the country after rolling over opponents in their first five games of the year and Texas has seen similar success to secure a number five ranking.

Texas leads the all-time series 57–40–5, with a 45–36–4 edge in the Cotton Bowl, although Oklahoma has won six of the last eight meetings between the two national powerhouses.
