Cobbs Adds Offer, Loves OU Atmosphere

Just before heading out on a trip to Texas for unofficial visits to see the Longhorns and the Red Raiders Tulsa area junior Demarco Cobbs added offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Tulsa Central High junior Demarco Cobbs is the odds on favorite to be the overall number one prospect in the state for the class of 2010 and the offers are starting to pile up.

Heading in to the weekend he held offers from Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Tulsa, but he added two more big ones when Oklahoma State and Oklahoma stepped up to the plate.

"I got an offer from Oklahoma State earlier this week, and Oklahoma offered me yesterday," Cobbs informed excitedly. "It feels great."

Cobbs got invited to attend the Texas Tech game by the OU coaching staff and he was glad that he took them up on the offer.

"It was crazy. The Oklahoma fans were fired up. It kind of surprised me a little that they would be that fired up. I never expected that type atmosphere. I thought the game was going to be much closer."

"I am very excited about the offer. The Sooners are still high up on my list. It is still open and they are one of the schools on my list."

Cobbs will be traveling down to the Lone Star State this week to take a closer look at Texas Tech and Texas.

"I am just excited to see what their programs are like and get a feel for what is like to be a player there."

Cobbs now holds five official scholarship offers, but that total will most likely quadruple by the time it is all said and done.
