RECRUITING: XLK looking forward to trip to Norman

Duncanville, Texas defensive tackle Xavier Lawson-Kennedy talks recruiting

XAVIER LAWSON-KENNEDY, DT, 6-3, 305, 4.88, DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS:

JH: What did you think of your visit to Texas A&M?

XLK: "It was pretty tight and I liked it pretty well. I was also up there for senior day, so I knew just a little bit about them."

JH: What did you think of the Aggie's new coaching staff?

XLK: "I knew Coach Fran when he was coaching at Alabama. He was the first person to offer me my freshman year. He came to a practice and was looking at some senior's on our team that year and he watched me and offered me after practice. I have followed what he has been doing since that time. I have always liked Texas A&M and that is the primary reason why I took a visit there."

JH: Did your visit change your thinking on Texas A&M at all?

XLK: "My feeling pretty much stayed the same. They are a good team and one of the teams that I am considering."

JH: What is the Aggies' situation at defensive tackle?

XLK: "They just have three dudes coming back and only two are ready to play. I could go there and get some playing time as a freshman."

JH: Are you visiting OU this weekend?

XLK: "Yes, I am and I am looking forward to that. Then in January I go to Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Florida."
