All-American offensive lineman Ofa Mohetau of Euless (Trinity HS), Texas has had a change of heart about visiting OU this weekend. Ofa called the Sooner football office today to inform them that he would not be making his visit this weekend and that he was leaning toward committing to Arizona State.
Mohetau visited the Sun Devils last weekend and impressed Mohetau with the fact that they have a large Polynesian population and that he would start as a freshman.
OU also told Moheatau that he would have a chance to start as a freshman since Mike Skinner is graduating and OU was prepared to show Mohetau how he could very easily fit into the Sooners lifestyle culturally.
OU will not give up in their quest to sign Mohetau, but as of tonight things don't look good in this regard.
This situation has nothing to do with the fact that the Sooners will trip Aaron Sears (6'4, 310, 5.0) of Russellville, Alabama, but the timing is pretty good. Sears had a great senior year and has drawn interest from Tennessee (12-12), OU (12-20), Florida and Auburn.
