The papers for All-American strong safety Donte Nicholson arrived in Norman this morning he and is now officially an Oklahoma Sooner.
Nicholson is considered the top safety prospect in junior college football and is better suited to play the strong safety spot. He will be able to enroll at semester and go through spring football with the Sooners. Nicholson will step on campus and immediatly compete with Eric Bassey and Brodney Pool for the starting strong safety spot.
"Academically, I think it'll take me a day or two to get things straightened out, but I'll be at OU by the start of the semester," said Nicholson Wednesday morning on KREF Sports Radio in Oklahoma City.
Today's is my birthday so this is a pretty big deal for me. I think it also made coach (Brent) Venables happy."
