McCoy Coming Back for More

Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who would have been a first day NFL draft pick, has informed that he will be coming back to OU for his junior season…

Gerald McCoy, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle announced that he will be back for his junior season at the University of Oklahoma.

Undoubtedly one of the determining factors was the fact he is a true team leader and he wants to go in to more battles with his crimson and cream colored family.

"We are a group of guys who love each other," McCoy said "We are brothers."

McCoy was saddened to send the 2008 group of seniors out on a loss, and he is hopeful that will change next bowl season.

"You want to see any seniors – not just this group but any group – you want see them off with a bang," McCoy admitted after the BCS loss to Florida. "What a way to go out with a National Championship win and a lot of us were just a little bit upset we couldn't do that for the seniors."

The departing 2008 group has nothing to hand their heads about, whether they are seniors or not.

"We have a lot of guys who are gonna go off next year and do a lot of big things in the NFL and we (the Sooners) got a lot to hold our heads up about."

The Sooners are still awaiting word on what QB Sam Bradford, TE Jermaine Gresham, and OT Trent Williams will do as far as the draft is concerned.
