Cobbs Gets First Class Treatment

Demarco Cobbs had a wonderful time at Oklahoma's junior day today and he filed this report with Scout.com about how it all went…

Demarco Cobbs, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete from Tulsa Central High in Okla., had a wonderful time at the University of Oklahoma this afternoon.

"It went real well," Cobbs informed. "They showed me a lot of attention."

"I had already seen most of their facilities and stuff when I went up there for my visit during the Texas Tech game, but I enjoyed hanging out. I hung out with the receivers and that is where they are recruiting me at."

Cobbs was worried about the status of his OU offer, because he had not yet received it on paper, but he had those doubts erased.

"Yes sir, they made it clear that I have an offer to OU."

Cobbs also spent one-on-one time with OU head coach Bob Stoops.

"Me and coach Stoops talked for a little bit," Cobbs said. "He showed me around his office. He showed me his championship trophies and his articles and stuff like that."

The highlight of the trip was an impromptu Q&A with current Sooner stars Jermaine Gresham, Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy, and Chris Brown.

"They put us in a room and let us ask the players the questions about the program and stuff like that," Cobbs explained. "The coaches had to leave. I really, really liked that. I liked how the players had fun and joked around with one another."

Cobbs has an abundance of early scholarship offers from upper echelon programs and it seems like OU only helped their cause to land him with his visit this weekend.
