RECRUITING: XLK says Sooners are 'with it'

Super Texas defensive lineman Xavier Lawson-Kennedy got to know one Sooner really well during his visit

XAVIER LAWSON-KENNEDY, DT, 6-3, 305, 4.88, DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS:

JH: I thought I saw you at the basketball game, were you there?

XLK: "No, I was in the room with Tommie playing a video-game. I was having a great time chilling with Tommie."

JH: What did you think about your visit to Norman?

XLK: "I liked to pretty good. I really liked Bricktown. The WWF match was tight. I really didn't like the matches, but I liked the athletic ability, the explosion of the athletes and their physical skill. I don't watch it on TV, but it was fun to watch in person."

JH: What are your thoughts on OU's program?

XLK: "It is prestigious and storied. It is a great program."

JH: Did your visit to Norman enhance OU's chances of signing you?

XLK: "It really didn't do anything to hurt them or help them. The visit was just to see the campus and meet as many people as we could."

JH: What other visits do you still plan on taking?

XLK: "I still have Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Florida remaining in January."

JH: What are your overall thoughts now on the Sooners after your visit?

XLK: "I have always been cool about Oklahoma and nothing changed because Oklahoma is with it. I enjoyed hanging with the fellas because they were cool. I like Oklahoma and that hasn't changed."
