Top 100 WR Adds OU Offer

Markeith Ambles, 100 member from McDonough-Henry County, Ga., is one of the top receiver prospects in the nation. Ambles has received more than 20 scholarship offers including one from the Big 12 Monday evening. He took an unofficial visit to Alabama and talked about the trip to Tuscaloosa.

"I went to Alabama's Junior Day," said Markeith Ambles. "Everything went really good over there. I enjoyed it. We checked in when we got there. They took us on a tour. My dad and I then went and talked to coach Saban."

"We went with coach Saban to his office. He talked to me and my dad about the situation at Alabama. He told me I could come in work hard and be a big play receiver for Alabama."

"Coach Saban talked to us about Alabama and how they would use me. He talked about their receivers now, and who they need in the future. He said that I should choose the school for my own reasons, no matter where I go. He said I have the ability to do whatever I want to do."

"I love it at Alabama. Everything in Tuscaloosa is all about Alabama football. They love football there. When you come off that exit and roll into the city it's a football town. I just love it there."

A Big 12 program threw their hat into the ring Monday night, and Ambles expects to take a visit to the powerhouse program.

"I was offered by Oklahoma tonight," he said. "I was talking to one of their coaches on the phone, and they said I have an offer. It was pretty exciting. I am happy to have an offer from a program like Oklahoma. I plan to go there for a visit in April."

Ambles is considering a visit to Tennessee this weekend for the Volunteers' Junior Day.
