RECRUITING: A new leader for Girtman?

Houston, Texas DT Brad Girtman talks about his trip to Oklahoma State and his in-home with Bob Stoops

JH: How did your visit to OSU go?

BG: "That visit went real well and it was a good visit. I learned a lot about OSU and got to see everything that I needed to see."

JH: Did your visit to OSU improve your chances of signing with them?

BG: "I really didn't know anything about OSU and I went up there with an open mind. I liked the people and thought they had a real nice program. They have a good education program that supports their athletes, but most colleges do. I don't know if I will sign with OSU, but they have a quality program and was impressive."

JH: When you left OU a couple of weeks ago you were very high on the Sooners. Have you met with Sooner coaches since that visit?

BG: I just met with Coach Stoops a few minutes ago. It went real well. Oklahoma is still very high on my list. I am still a soft commitment to OU or whatever you want to call it. I told Coach Stoops moments ago that I still planned on signing with OU."

JH: Why are you still taking visits if you are sold on OU?

BG: "My mom wants me to take all my visits, but there is no question that I am a soft commitment to OU. I am going to Tennessee this weekend and I take my final visit to Nebraska the following weekend. As soon as that last visit is over then I will make my official announcement where I am going. That will probably be to Oklahoma."
