Sooners vying for all important visit dates with top remaining prospects

Tallahassee cornerback Antonio Cromartie tells the OU coaches that he is coming in for a visit on 1-24. He was to meet with Auburn in his home tonight, but held off on that visit so that his mom could meet Coach Darell Wyatt instead. Cromartie and the OU coaches exchanged phone calls about five times today and it appears that Cromartie will visit OU instead of Miami for visit number five.

Running back Tyrone Moss of Pampano, Fla. says that he is still considering visiting OU this weekend or the next. The problem is that Miami wants his fifth visit and he is a soft commitment to Miami. Moss is one of the top ten players in Florida, but yet he has a strange visit list. Moss went to Ole Miss this past weekend, because his high school coach is a Rebel alum. Moss has also visited Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Michigan State. Moss is the type of running back the Sooners are looking for, but they are still a longshot just to get him to visit. He could visit Miami unofficially and the Sooners officially, but the Hurricanes are trying to get him to make his fifth official visit one of Miami.

Athlete/quarterback Michael Bush of Louisville, Ky. met with Sooner assistant coach Kevin Wilson today and has set a visit with the Sooners for the 24th. Bush is one of the best pure athletes in the country and wants to play quarterback in college, and he also wants to double in basketball. Ohio State is making a big play for his services along with Tennessee and Michigan State. Louisville is still in the picture and are a bigger player than most people think. Right now Bush does not have his test score and he needs some work there. If Bush has to prop he wants to do it local and Louisville would be his school of choice. It is a longshot that this would work out for the Sooners, but they are staying in the hunt.

OU visited with running back Courtney Tennial recently in Glenpool and things look very good for the Sooners. It will be an upset if Tennial does not sign with OU.

The Sooners also continues to stay in contact with McAlester's Brandon Keith. If Keith could qualify the Sooners would be all over him. As it is, the Sooner are making plans to place him at NEO.

And last but not least, I spoke on the phone today with Alonzo Dotson of Alief, Texas and he said there is absolutley no truth to the rumor that will have Texas coaches in his home tonight or anytime soon.

'Zo' said that he hasn't even talked with coaches from Texas or Mack Brown and he thinks they are pretty bitter about his decision to go to OU.

'Zo' said at this point he could care less if he meets or talks Texas coaches or not and he will tell them the same thing he has told the Sooner nation, and that is that he is committed to OU and will sign with the Sooners on signing day.

So, whoever started this rumor couldn't be any more wrong.
