I just got off the phone with running back Tashard Choice, of Lovejoy, Georgia, late Sunday night and as you might expect with a player just now taking his first visit, the Sooners find themselves in quite a recruiting battle.
Choice visited Mississippi State and was very impressed with his first visit.
"I had a great time at Mississippi State and felt that they really wanted me on that visit," said Choice after spending the evening with friends watching the Super Bowl. "They have been recruiting me the longest and to be honest, have wanted me the most.
"They went over their offense with me and showed me how they were going to use me in their offense and I would get the ball more at Mississippi State that I did in high school. I don't think there is any doubt that Mississippi State is going to be in the hunt until the very end."
Last week Choice said that OU was his leader, but after visiting Mississippi State he isn't so sure now.
"I'd have to say that Mississippi State might have passed them this weekend," said Choice. "I still have to visit OU and Alabama and then I will sit down and compare all three schools after this weekend."
Choice is scheduled to visit OU in mid-week and then Alabama this upcoming weekend.
