Jeffries Serves One Game Suspension

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Tavaris Jeffries was not on the sidelines for the Kansas game, because he did not make the trip to Lawrence. After the game OU head coach Bob Stoops updated his status.

Tavaris Jeffries was riding a recent wave of success at OU. He had started three games in a row, including last week's 16-13 loss in the Red River Rivalry.

That streak came to a screeching halt this weekend when he did not even make the trip to Lawrence, Kan., for the Sooners 35-13 win over the Jayhawks on Saturday.

Jeffries didn't make the trip to Lawrence due to disciplinary reasons.

That's as far as OU head coach Bob Stoops would go with regards to the matter.

"That was a suspension just due to some of our policies," Stoops said. "He's not doing what he needs to do."

It appears that the suspension will only be for one game.

Stoops confirmed, "Right now it's one, yeah, unless something's different this week."

Sophomore Stephen Good got the start in Jeffries stead.
