Injury Report: Habern & Williams

NORMAN, Okla. -- Ben Habern and Trent Williams have been the most steady performers along the OL for the Sooners, so there was some concern when they both seemed to turn over their ankles Saturday in the 35-13 win over Kansas.

At one point in last Saturday's game Trent Williams seemed to really be favoring his ankle and was moving very cautiously on it.

Two day later he maintains that the injury was not a serious one.

"I sat over there for a couple of series and it kind of got stiff, but it ain't nothing," Williams reported when asked about his injury. "I promise you that it aint nothing."

Williams is the only lineman to have started in every game for the Sooners.

"I'm good, I'm good," persuaded Williams. "Just little pains in the season. I have them every year, so it ain't nothing."

"No red flags."

Ben Habern is right behind Trent Williams as far as snaps played on the year.

He has already been playing through a back injury that he will likely be bothersome throughout the course of the season.

Habern could ill afford another injury, but he says that the sprained ankle he incurred against the Jayhawks should not affect his ability to play Saturday against Kansas State.

"It was sprained a little bit," Habern admitted. "Just any kind of football injury, really, just kind of ice it up."

"I was ready to go today (in practice), so it's fine.
