Another Big Week Is On Tap

It's a big one in Norman once again, with a set of major events from the middle of the week all the way through the upcoming weekend.

1. The baseball team begins their trek towards a Big 12 Tourney Title at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday—This is a tall task considering the Sooners will first have to win their pool before likely facing a 46-8 Texas team that lost only three games in the conference season en route to a 24-3 Big 12 record. OU first takes the field at Bricktown Ballpark against the Kansas Jayhawks. Then, the Sooners have a day off before facing Baylor at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Kansas State at 4 p.m. Saturday. If OU is fortunate enough to take care of business within their own pool, they will advance to the championship on Sunday at 1 p.m.

2. OU softball heads to Washington for the Super Regional round—After defeating Syracuse in a 10-0 run rule in six innings followed by 1-0 and 2-0 victories over Fordham, the Sooner softball team has advanced to the Super Regionals to face off against the defending national champion and No. 3 overall seed Washington Huskies. The two will square off in a best-of-three series starting Thursday at 9 p.m. CT and continuing Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT with the if-necessary game set to begin at 10 p.m. CT. If OU can somehow complete the upset, they will head home to Oklahoma City for the Women's College World Series.
