What We Learned Tuesday

It was nothing short of an eventful day in Norman Tuesday, so here's a recap of a few things we learned.

1. Perhaps the biggest recruit the Sooners snagged throughout the morning and afternoon was cornerback Brandon Carter. Carter, from Euless Trinity High School, worked both at cornerback and wide receiver. He's a quick guy with good technique on the defensive side of the ball, but he certainly also has all the skills offensively to become a solid wide out at the collegiate level.

2. To go along with that point, Sooner defensive backs coach Willie Martinez has been coaching up Carter a lot. He spent extensive time working solely with Carter, and that's a good relationship to get started for the future in the secondary.

3. OU also landed its first offensive line recruit. Dylan Dismuke, a three star offensive tackle from Duncan, Okla., announced after the second Tuesday practice session that he will come to OU. So that sets the stage for what will become an interesting topic in the upcoming few days. Where will offensive tackle Brey Cook end up? The Springdale, Ark. native is still deciding between Arkansas and Oklahoma after attending Arkansas' camp Tuesday.

4. The Sooners picked up another quarterback commitment in the form of 6-foot-3, 220 lb. Archie Bradley from Broken Arrow High School, reported by Midlands Recruiting Manager Greg Powers. Bradley is a guy that presents an interesting scenario. He's a multi-sport athlete, as he plans to play both baseball and football at OU. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how that all pans out.

Stay tuned for any major updates Wednesday from camp.
