AD Look Back: Part III

Here's a look inside the third historic moment of former OU running back Adrian Peterson's career that Sooners Illustrated provides for you this week.

The year: 2004

The game: @ Oklahoma State, Oct. 30, 2004

The situation: OU was 7-0 and Peterson had accumulated 100 or more rushing yards in every game so far that season.

The outcome: Not only did he record his eighth straight game of 100+ yards, but he broke the 200-yard barrier for the second time that season. He finished the year with three 200-yard performances, part of six throughout his career. More importantly for that contest, though, it turned out to be Peterson's career high at OU in rushing yards at 249 on 33 carries, one of which was a touchdown. His streak of consecutive 100-yard games eventually came to an end against Nebraska two games later when he accumulated only 58 yards.
