Unfortunately Dallas Skyline wasn't able to make the trip, so Sooners Illustrated wasn't able to catch up with or watch safety commit Frank Shannon or linebacker prospect Anthony Wallace, but a couple of OU commits looked really good.
Wide receiver Trey Metoyer, the Whitehouse, Texas prospect, looked very solid in his outing, as they moved into the championship bracket. He was crisp with his routes in addition to, quite honestly, just looking like a man among boys along the perimeter. Metoyer made a couple of acrobatic grabs that will awe Sooner fans in future years.
Linebacker commit P.L. Lindley, from Stony Point High School in Round Rock, also performed really well. He anchored his defense en route to winning a couple of games on the day. But, due to tiebreaker rules, Stony Point lost its final game and finished in a three-way tie at 2-1, so Lindley and his squad will be in the consolation bracket Saturday.
Stay tuned for video highlights, pictures and interviews of these guys, as well as some highlights of a few other OU prospects at the conclusion of the tournament this weekend.
