Ranking the Most Important on Offense: No. 14

Sooners Illustrated now presents No. 14 on this year's countdown of most crucial offensive players.

No. 14:

Player: Eric Mensik

Position: Starting tight end

The rundown: In the tight end position, Mensik is listed as a 6-foot-6, 288 lb. senior. He had an interesting start for his first one at tight end last year against Texas A&M when he later switched uniforms and worked in the tackle spot as well. Once again he played tackle in the final two games of the season against OSU and Stanford. As a TE, Mensik had only two receptions for 14 yards last season, with a long of 10 yards against Tulsa.

Expectations for 2010: He currently stands as the starter, so expect him to see more of the action there than the other tight ends. However, there is a possibility that Mensik will move to the line and Ratterree will then take care of the duties at the tight end spot.

No. 24: Bronson Irwin

No. 23: Josh Aladenoye

No. 22: Brandon Crow

No. 21: Cameron Kenney

No. 20: Brian Lepak

No. 19: Trent Ratterree

No. 18: Drew Allen

No. 17: Tavaris Jeffries

No. 16: Jarvis Jones

No. 15: Marshall Musil
