Big 12 Media Days: What They Said

Irving, Texas—Four Sooner players made the trip Wednesday, and there was some interesting stuff that came up in the conversation.

What they said:

"Oh yeah, I'd be a fool to say no. I want to win every possible award there is, you know. But it starts in the offseason. I starts day-by-day, and I feel like I've put myself in the right position to make something happen, but at the end of the day—if I don't catch any balls, I will be mad—but as long as we win and we get to the big game, maybe I'll catch a big ball then."—Wide receiver Ryan Broyles on the potential of getting the Biletnikoff Award and others

"Uh, no, we still have a great offense. We got, like she said, [Garrett] Gilbert coming back, we got Landry [Jones], we got other quarterbacks. We got a lot of great quarterbacks. Missouri has a great quarterback, and I think we're still going to be a high powered offensive conference, but we got some great defenses to, so it's going to be interesting. There's going to be some fun games. I can say that."—Defensive end Jeremy Beal on if the Big 12's going to be a defensive conference with the exit of quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy

"I definitely feel that, I mean, if I'm healthy and I get the carries, I definitely feel that I could get 2,000 yards."—Running back DeMarco Murray on if he has a yardage total he's thought about getting

"I mean, you can expect the world. I think this is going to be one of the best since I've been here. And we've got a lot of guys that can play."—Linebacker Travis Lewis on what to expect from the linebacking group
