Ranking the Most Important on Defense: No. 15

Sooners Illustrated now brings this Sunday's issue of the defensive countdown.

No. 15:

Player: Stacey McGee

Position: Backup defensive tackle

The rundown: He became a part of a disastrous offensive line, moving from the defensive side of the ball last year when he switched over for the final couple contests of the year after it was so depleted by injuries. The 6-foot-4, 275 lb., defensive lineman played in two games and picked up one tackle before the switch late in the season.

Expectations for 2010: OU defensive coordinator Brent Venables said he's been competing well at the position, and especially with the injury to Adrian Taylor at the end of last season, McGee will have to be ready if need be. Taylor is not completely healthy yet, so McGee could really be an important part of the interior defensive line.
