First Major Scrimmage is in the Books

Norman--Oklahoma's football team went through a 95-play scrimmage Saturday morning in Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Sooner Head Coach Bob Stoops said the workout met his expectations.

"It was a good early-season scrimmage," Stoops said. "We got a lot of good work done and had the opportunity to look at a number of players. Like most teams, we still have things that need to be shored up, but that's typical of this time of year. I liked our effort, especially considering the heat. "

Stoops did not single out any players, saying that he wants to see more in a scrimmage setting before commenting on individual play.
