Nkemdiche commits to Rebs

After his visit this week to Ole Miss, Georgia Safety/CB Denzel Nkemdiche pulled the trigger for the Rebels and committed.

"It was just the right fit," Nkemdiche said. "Ole Miss is a beautiful place with great people.

"I hung out with some great guys, including Kentrell Lockett, and I knew it was the place for me. The coaches fired me up and that's that. I committed this afternoon (Friday)."

The 6-0, 203-pounder visited Ole Miss from Tuesday night until Thursday morning and left with the right impression.

"I just felt good being there," said Nkemdiche. "It was all good. I prayed about it and feel really good about my decision. I am finished with recruiting and just want to get rolling. I want to hit the ground running and make an impact."

Denzel Nkemdiche played at Grayson HS in Logansville but hails from Lithonia, GA.

His senior season, he had a season high in tackles (92), tackles for losses (18), 9 sacks and had four interceptions while returned two of those for touchdowns.

"I had a pretty productive year, especially since I played outside linebacker, safety and corner," he explained. "In college, I don't care where I play. I will play whatever position gets me on the field the quickest - safety, corner, it does not matter."

The Georgia standouts little brother is argubaly the top 2013 prospect in the country and the brothers plan on playing together on the next level.

"Robert is going wherever I go. We are a tight knit family and our mother wants us to go to college together and so do wek.

Nkemdiche is supposed to hear the final results on his latest SAT Monday.

"I'm very confident I made a qualifying score," he said. "Once I get that in hand, I'll be headed to Oxford shortly thereafter."

The battle for his services came down to Georgia and Ole Miss. Miami also offered the talented defender while MSU was also heavily in the mix.
