The Ole Miss administration did not drag around in finding their man to take over the beleaguered Lady Rebel Basketball program.

Adrian Wiggins, who has been the head coach at Fresno State the past six seasons, is expected to be named the new Lady Rebel coach tomorrow. He succeeds Renee Ladner, who resigned recently after six seasons at the helm.

During his tenure at Fresno, Wiggins has averaged 24.5 wins a year in his six seasons and was named the WAC Coach of the Year two out of the last three seasons.

Fresno State recorded a program-best 28 wins this season and also had the fewest losses in a season with six. The Bulldogs made their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and won their fifth WAC title in a row.

Wiggins is expected to bring a quality staff with him as well.

Through the grapevine, he is expected to bring Fresno State Associate Head Coach Brett Frank with him.

Also, it's been speculated Rice Assistant Coach Rebecca Taylor, who played at Mississippi State, will be on Wiggins' staff.

To round out the new staff, Wiggins is expected to import the husband-wife team of Kenya and Michael Landers from Trinity Valley CC.

Kenya is currently the head coach at Trinity. Michael is anticipated to handle basketball operations for Wiggins.

The official announcement for Wiggins is expected to be Tuesday.
