Four-star DB re-thinking things

When James Franklin was the head coach at Vanderbilt, Emmanuel Smith was a strong commitment, but with Franklin moving on to Penn State, the four-star safety will take other visits...

Scout has confirmed that Emmanuel Smith is now looking at his other options.

The four-star safety out of Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland has been committed to Vanderbilt since March, but with the coaching change, things are not as cut and dry as they once were.

Smith has not decommitted from Vanderbilt, but Scout has confirmed that he will visit other schools.

With the official announcement of James Franklin leaving for Penn State Saturday morning, Smith has already started to look into possible visits. Ole Miss, Missouri, Northwestern, and Tennessee are among the schools Smith is looking into.

It is certain that he will visit other schools officially and Scout will report on those once they get scheduled.

The 6-foot, 200 pound senior is the No. 30-ranked safety in the country on Scout.
