Recruiting Competition: Markell had a lot of schools making passes at him the last couple of years, including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Mississippi State and USM, but he narrowed things down quickly between Florida State and Ole Miss. He actually committed to FSU after his junior year, but had a change of heart and switched to Ole Miss in November. He got some late rushes from MSU and others, but held firm with the Rebels.

Quotable: "I feel I'm versatile and can do whatever is needed. I have good raw talent and I am a quick learner. I think I can step in and play early, like Laquon (Treadwell) did. I like how the wide receivers are used in the offense Ole Miss runs. We get a lot of chances to make plays and have the ball in our hands."

Scouting Report: Pack is a physical wideout who consistently catches the ball in traffic. He can go across the middle, he can get down the field, and he can high-point the ball from his position. He has the frame to add another 20-25 pounds, he has good initial quickness off the line, and he can block down the field. He can work on his top end speed and his overall route-running skills. He is a tough receiver with strength and hands. - Chad Simmons

Coach Hugh Freeze Quote: "Markell was our number one target at wide receiver the whole way. We feel he has the same type of qualities that Laquon Treadwell has. He's tall, rough, driven and he's got good hands in traffic. I think, like Quon, he can contribute early and possibly take up a lot of the slack we lost when Donte (Moncrief) decided to turn pro."
