Stormed Out

OMAHA, Neb. – With two Cavaliers on and no outs in the top of the second inning, Friday night's College World Series game between Ole Miss (48-20) and Virginia (51-14) has been suspended due to inclement weather in the area.

The game will be resumed at 2 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2 with no score between the two teams.

It is an elimination game for the Rebels who are fighting to stay alive at the College World Series.

Should Ole Miss win the resumed game, the "if necessary" game will be played at a time yet to be determined on Sunday.

There was no media opportunity to talk to coaches or players following the decision.

Determinations on pitchers won't be known until Saturday. Ole Miss starter Jeremy Massie had thrown 28 pitches in one inning and two batters. Virginia starter Josh Sborz threw seven pitches in the first inning, his only inning of the game.
