Ole Miss basketball added a commitment from three-star combo guard Donte Fitzpatrick on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound Fitzpatrick, of Melrose High School in Memphis, Tenn., made his announcement via his Twitter account. Fitzpatrick was a widely-coveted player, holding additional offers from, among others, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Memphis.
Fitzpatrick, who took an official visit to Ole Miss on Monday, joins fellow Memphian and three-star prospect Terence Davis, a former AAU teammate of Fitzpatrick, as well as Southwest (Tenn.) Community College guard Rasheed Brooks, in the recruiting class of 2015.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Davis averaged 22 points per game and nine rebounds as a junior for Southaven High School last season. The 6-foot-6 Brooks, who was described by a source familiar with Ole Miss' recruiting efforts as "one of the top two, three kids in the country in junior college for the 2015 class," chose the Rebels over West Virginia and more.
Ole Miss enters the 2014-15 season with five seniors, including three guards led by All-SEC selection Jarvis Summers. Guard Terence Smith and forward M.J. Rhett are one-year graduate transfers signed in the spring.
