Scout.com evaluation: Last year Breein averaged 18.8 points,
5.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.3 steals. Good stats but much more impressive
when you understand that Breein was the only option his St. Joseph team had
which resulted in constant double and triple teams. Defenses from opposing teams
were designed to stop him, and Breein is known as the defensive stopper for
his own team. The 6-foot-2 point guard shows great explosion off of dribble
penetration but even more importantly displays body control and has a good sense
of where he is around the basket. He also has great hops and a good outside
shot which is perfect for the Ole Miss offense. Andy Kennedy allows their point
guard to be more of a scoring guard more than anything else. He fits the Chris Warren mold.
Bottom line is that the Rebels had a huge hole to fill for the point guard position in the 2016 class. They have found their man in Mr. Tyree Breein.
