Ole Miss Commitment Progress Report

Greg Eisworth is our Ole Miss commit of the week as he helped So Grand Prairie to a thrilling last minute victory with six touchdowns in the contest. Who else shinned? Read below to find out.

Ole Miss commitment Stats

**Ole Miss 4-Star RB commit Justin Connor did not play in North Panola's 42-22 win over Manassas. The week before he had a season high 172 rushing yards with a career high 36 rushes. In four games of action he has 76 carries for 482 yards and six touchdowns. On defense where he plays corner the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder has 16 tackles and an interception. Last season the Dandy Dozen selection back had 131 carries for 936 yards and eight touchdowns in an injury-plagued season that saw him miss four games of action.

North Panola (3-2) is at Palmer tonight.


** The nation's No. 60 prospect, D.K. Metcalf, had five catches for 120 yards and a touchdown in Oxford's 52-20 win over West Point. Through five games the 6-foot-4, 208-pound wide out has 24 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns. The Army All-American had over 1,200 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.

Oxford (3-2) is at Saltillo tonight.

** 3-Star OL Eli Johnson and Lafayette defeated Charleston 26-20 last Friday to run their record to 5-1. The Dores have positioned themselves to be the team to beat out of the 4A North Half. The 6' 2", 285-pound lineman is back to 100% after playing a junior season spent, for the most part, recovering from a torn ACL that occurred during the state championship game in December of 2013.

Johnson has been invited to the Offense/Defense All-Ameican game. Lafayette plays at home against Ripley tonight.



**The nation's No. 159 prospect, Benito Jones, had three tackles and a sack in Wayne County's 60-33 win over. The Under Armour All-American selection has 30 tackles, 11 for a loss, three batted down balls, six quarterback hurries and two sacks through five games. Last season the first team All-State selection had 84 tackles, three sacks, five for loss, three forced fumbles and three recovered fumbles.

Wayne County (3-2) is at home against Wingfield tonight.



**The nation's No. 259 prospect Denzel Mitchell and Hamilton lost a heartbreaker to Moody in the last minute of a 38-35 game. The Ole Miss commit tore his Achilles tendon in his spring game against New Hope. He could miss anywhere from five to six games this season. That will be determined after game four when he visits his doctor. Denzel's junior season included 1,450 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. The 5' 11", 212-pound back finished his sophomore season with an area best 1,718 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.



**The nation's No. 37 rated inside linebacker, Donta Evans, helped Archer to a 42-14 thumping over Parkview last Friday. In the contest the Ole Miss commit had six tackles, two sacks, three tackles for a loss, and one forced fumble. Through four games Donta has 31 tackles, eight for a loss, three sacks and has blocked two punts. Last season the 6-foot-1 Evans had 98 tackles and seven sacks while manning the linebacker and defensive end positions.

**The nation's No.121 ranked prospect, Jaylon Jones, helped Allen to a 38-28 win over Marcus last Friday to run their record to 4-0. Allen has won three straight state titles and 48 consecutive games, allow only 15.8 points per game.The 5-foot-11 defensive back had three tackles and an interception in the contest. The soon-to-be safety now has 28 tackles, three interceptions, and returned one back for a touchdown in four games. Last season Jones made the All-State team after collecting a team high 11 interceptions.

**The nation's No. 185 ranked prospect, Bryce Mathews, helped Brentwood Academy to a 42-20 win over Baylor last Friday .The 6-foot-6, 285-pound left tackle has 32 pancakes through five games.

Brentwood (4-1) is at Ensworth tonight


**The nation's No. 289 rated prospect, D'Vaughn Pennamon, had ten carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns in their 75-14 win over South Houston last Friday. Manvel is now 4-1 on the season. The 205-pound tailback has 35 rushes for 360 yards and eight receptions for 56 yards through three games. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Pennamon averaged over eight yards a carry as a junior.



**Three-star Ole Miss commit Jarrion Street had a bye this past week. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound tailback has 787 rushing yards, 138 receiving yards and eleven touchdowns through five games. Street ran for 1,220 yards and 12 touchdowns on just 183 carries as a junior last year.

Hewitt-Trussville is at Oak Mountain tonight.

**Scout.com's No. 35 rated offensive guard, Chandler Tuitt, missed Sandy Creek's 41-6 win over Auburn last Friday game due to an ankle injury. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound tackle has recorded 26 pancakes through four games of action

Sandy Creek (4-1) is at Whitewater tonight.


**3-Star defensive end, Tariqious Tisdale, and Lexington to took a deflating 17-14 loss to Chester County last Friday. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound two-way player sustained a high ankle sprain in the contest. Test came back negative which is good news for both Lexington and Tisdale. He now has 36 tackles, seven for a loss, and 6 1/2 sacks through four games. On offense Tisdale has over 180 rushing yards and three touchdowns

Lexington plays is at Ripley tonight. It's not known yet if Tariqious will play in the contest.

**Scout.com's No. 60 rated offensive guard, Jack DeFoor, and Calhoun are staying on the undefeated road as they defeated Ringgold 60-3 last Friday.. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder was named first team All-State for all classifications as junior by the AJC.

Calhoun (5-0) is at Adairsville tonight.

**Scout.com's No. 36 rated safety, Greg Eisworth, led the charge in South Grand Prairie's 56-42 win over Midlothian (TX). The 6-foot, 180-pound two-way player had 201 passing yards, 146 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the contest. Greg now has 654 passing yards/nine touchdowns and 626 rushing yards/six touchdowns through five games. Last season while playing quarterback he had over 3,000 yards.

South Grand Prairie (4-1) is at Duncanville tonight.

**4-Star DE Charles Wiley and Stockbridge had a bye this past week. The 6-foot-2, 242 pound end has 27 tackles, five sacks, and 10 tackles for a loss through four games. He was the Region 4(5A) Defensive Player of the Year, Henry County Defensive player of the Year and first team 5A All-State after collecting 20 sacks as a junior.

Stockbridge (4-0) faces Dutchtown (GA) Friday.

 

**JUCO MLB David Luafatasage had eight tackles and a sack in Arizona Western's 47-35 win over Phoenix CC last Friday. David now has 36 tackles, six for a loss, and three sacks through five games of action for Arizona Western CC. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound linebacker/defensive end totaled 66 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups as a freshman.

Arizona Western (3-2) is at Pima CC Saturday.

 

**The nation's top quarterback, Shea Patterson, and IMG had a bye this past week. He and teammate WR Drake Davis spent the weekend in Oxford. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound signal caller is 55-93 for 979 yards and eleven touchdowns with one interception through four games. Last season Shea helped Calvary Baptist (La.) to a state championship. He was 129-199 for 2,428 yards and 38 touchdowns with only five interceptions.

IMG (4-0) is at home against St. Joseph Regional (N.J.) tonight. IMG will play three teams from New Jersey this season.

**The No. 90 overall rated prospect, Octavious Cooley, helped Laurel to a 37-0 win over rival West Jones last Friday.The 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end had five catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in the contest. He now has 22 catches for 472 yards and four touchdowns through five games. Last season he caught 46 passes for 1,062 yards and nine touchdowns. His sophomore campaign saw him catch 51 passes for 1,007 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Laurel is at Natchez tonight.

 

**Gabe Angel, the No. 32 rated athlete in the county, had four rushes for 108, a reception for 16 yards and three tackles on defense in Cookeville's 38-28 loss over Blackman. It was Cookeville's first loss of the season. Through six games Gabe has 10 rushes for 229 yards and four touchdowns. He has 13 catches for 249 yards and three touchdowns. Gabe is going both ways and has also collected 26 solo tackles and batted down five balls through six games. As a junior the 6-foot-3 1/2, 215-pounder had 40 carries or 454 yards and eight touchdowns, as well as 15 catches for 277 yards and three touchdowns.
