Scout.com evaluation: It's hard to argue that Octavious Cooley is not the top tight end in the country for the class of 2016. He already has 57 catches for 1,087 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. All told he has over 4,000 receiving yards and 52 touchdowns during his four year career at Laurel.

Its amazing watching his entire one handed catches and some of the more acrobatic catches you will see for any skilled player, much less a big ole tight end. The nation's No. 92 overall rated player is much more than a pass catcher. He is one of the more physical blockers around. Cooley is your traditional tight end that can catch passes as well as becoming basically a 6th offensive lineman. But what you don't see on film are his leadership qualities. He is the emotional heartbeat on his team and as Cooley goes, Laurel goes.
