Scouting Jeffery Simmons

Jeffery Simmons out of Noxubee County is keeping everybody on their toes inside the state of Mississippi. He'll be showcasing his skills in Ole Miss' stadium Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Could that be a foreshadow of where he'll be making plays on the next level?

Scout.com evaluation: Jeffery Simmons is what you call a true sideline to sideline player. In this game footage below he wasn't able to push off due to having his knee scoped. Simmons didn't have his lower base which is critical but he still manned up and made 8 tackles, 3 quarterback hurries and blocked what would have been the game clinching field goal to keep his team alive.

Simmons is a force every time he steps on the field. He has over 100 tackles, 20.5 for a loss, 15 sacks, 17 qb hurries, four forced fumbles and blocked three field goals this season. Oh yea, we forgot to mention he missed nearly half the season with the knee injury.

Now the focus is just where will he land? Ole Miss insiders believe it will be in Oxford. People within the MSU camp seem to think he will end up a Dawg. This one will be fun to watch coming down the back stretch of the recruiting season.
