Scout.com evaluation: Gentle Williams will play one of the interior positions on the offensive line for the next level. The first thing you notice about Gentle is his footwork. That was evident at the Ole Miss senior camp this past summer when he ran a 5.08 forty weighing in at 288 pounds. He had the best footwork out of all of the offensive linemen for Team Mississippi. Very athletic and what you call "light on his feet". Reminds me a little bit of Rod Taylor coming out of high school, outside of Roderick's pure strength. Gentle will have to continue to work on his overall body strength but the tools are in place to become a successful lineman in a power five conference.
The Rebels have had two home visits with Gentle and saw him as late as this past week when coach Matt Luke visited his mother while he was in Hattiesburg with Team Mississippi. Ole Miss is looking to add another tackle or two to this signing class. Gentle is an interior guy, but he'll be hard to pass on because of his ability and the fact that he's so coachable and knowledgeable about the game.
