Oxford Receiver In Action

D.K. Metcalf set just about every school receiving record during his stay at Oxford. This past season the 6-foot-4, 210-pound wideout caught 93 passes for 1, 455 yards and 23 touchdowns while helping his team to it's third straight 5A final appearance. Just what is Ole Miss getting?

6-foot-4, 210
Committed to Ole Miss over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Mississippi State, Oregon, UCLA, Duke, Nebraska, and California
Scout.com Ranking: No. 60 overall prospect/No. 11 WR

Scout.com evaluation: After totaling over 3,300 receiving yards and 50 touchdowns during his career at Oxford while earning All-State honors the past three seasons there really is not much left to accomplish on the high school level for Mr. Metcalf.

We have had the pleasure of watching this young man grow from his freshman season through his senior. There is nothing this young man can't do on the football field. Some have asked who D.K. compares to. Some say Julio Jones because of his sure hands and athleticism to be able to take it to the house on any given catch. Personally I think he compares to Keyshawn Johnson because of his long strides and ability to go up and get the ball in the air. We can count on one hand how many times he dropped a pass in his high school career. It's those sure hands and ability to make acrobatic catches that stands out the most.
