If you are going to go to battle in the trenches of the Southeastern Conference, you better be able to mesh with the guy next to you.
For Ole Miss commitment Jack DeFoor, a 6-5, 285-pound offensive lineman, that means having similar personalities, which he found from his fellow OL recruits this weekend on his official visit to Ole Miss.
“I hung out with Greg (Little) and Bryce (Mathews) and Jacob Mathis a little bit. Everyone had a good time. I think Jacob had a good weekend and is thinking hard about Ole Miss," DeFoor noted. "Greg and Bryce and I are solid. I really didn't have to recruit guys too hard. It seemed like everyone here has Ole Miss on their minds. They are seriously considering Ole Miss - all of them, it seemed like. I think A.J. Brown had a great time. So did Jeffery Simmons and Jacob Mathis, and I think Deontay (Anderson) is a lock for Ole Miss.”
DeFoor, a three-star prospect on Scout.com who chose Ole Miss over Clemson and Georgia Tech last May, is known for being a little “nasty” on the playing field.
“If you are going to play in the SEC, you better be tough and a blue collar, nasty guy. I think all the OL commits for us this year are that way,” he continued. “We all fit together, and that's huge. I think it's good we communicate off the field. It will make it easier when we get on the field. I love this class - I made the right choice.”
