The Rebels came out swinging in game two, scoring five runs in the second inning and added two more to win 7-3. Starting pitcher Chad Smith struggled at times, but only managed to give up three earned runs. Wyatt Short was effective as the closer again allowing only one hit and striking out two. Game three was a closer contest with Ole Miss leading 2-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, but an RBI single to center field by junior Colby Bortles along with a RBI single to right field by senior Holt Perdzock gave the Rebels some breathing room. Ole Miss added two more runs in the sixth inning to win 6-1, completing the series sweep.

Mike Bianco on starting pitchers Chad Smith and Sean Johnson: "I just don't think they had good stuff today. I think Sean's velocity was a little down and command just wasn't there. Smith, as far as his velocity and what not was pretty normal, but I just don't think he was as sharp command wise. They really made both guys work."
Sean Johnson on his performance: "I felt fine, I just wasn't making pitches so coach pulled me early. My velocity was there and everything was there, but I just wasn't making my pitches. I was spiking my fastball and didn't really have control of my off-speed."
Colby Bortles on heading into league play: "We're really confident going into that 30 game SEC play having those 15 wins under our belt. We're really confident moving forward and reaching our goal of 40 wins."
- Freshman Ryan Olenek hit the first home run of his Rebel career in game two of the series.
