Scout.com evaluation: Charles Moore's name surfaced as early as his 8th grade season when he broke into Louisville's varsity lineup. This past season as a freshman he collected 84 tackles, 14 for a loss, 8 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and batted down 6 passes. Physically, he's already built like an upperclassman.

On film Moore shows really good straight line speed. He ran a 5.12 in the 40-yard dash at the most recent Nike Regional as only a 9th grader. That time will certainly improve over the years as he gets bigger, stronger and learns the techniques of how to run a 40. His first step is really impressive. He has a "sideline-to-sideline" game. Charles never stops pursuing the ball and plays until the whistle blows. If there is one area that he needs to work on it's his lateral quickness. But like the 40 time that will improve as he gets older.

The Rebels and Dogs have already made Charles a priority as early offers were extended from both schools at the start of his freshman season. Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia and many of the elite programs from around the South have already inquired about the young man. Offers will start pouring in from coast-to-coast. It's a matter of when and not if.
