"I just came up here to have a good time to get a good workout under coach Luke," Brown said. "I want to become the best I can be. I just want to give it all I can."
Ben arrived and you could noticeably tell a difference in his body.
"I'm still about 6-foot-6, 290, but I've been trying to get a lot faster and get as strong as I can for my senior season. Honestly I think I've gained some more muscle and lost some fat."
The Brown family has Ole Miss through their blood. It's been well documented that there have been numerous family members who have played football for the Rebels, including his father, grandfathers and uncles.
"Pretty much everyone knows I'm not budging on my commitment. Ole Miss is always the school I have wanted to play for so nothing else really matters anymore."
It was more than his family that attracted Ben to Ole Miss.
"I've always loved their coaches and always loved the atmosphere up there. I've always felt most at home when I was on their campus. They have great fans and great facilities. All of the players are just great Christian people. It has everything you could want as an athlete."
The St. Al star is now helping trying to build the 2017 class.
"I'm trying my best, yes sir. If anyone is interested in Ole Miss I always feel free to give them any advise and answer any questions about Ole Miss. I try and make Ole Miss the best it can possibly be."
What advise does he give his peers?
"It's just an unbelievable experience up there. It's the best place I've every gone to, and it's hard to turn down. What is there not to like about Ole Miss?"
