NE Mississippi CC LB Brenden Williams believes he can be a reliable player for Ole Miss.

On his Commitment to Ole Miss

“It was great. I really like Ole Miss. It really seemed like they had a lot to offer. Coach Freeze and talking to the players and the relationship with him and the rest of the coaches I just felt like it was a great move for me and my family.”

How it feels to commit after position changes over the last few months

“I just give all credit to God. He just put me in the right position. Put the right things in the right people’s minds and I just kept the faith and kept the course.”

What made Ole Miss the right choice

“Just talking to coach Johnson and coach Nix and really understanding and looking at the defense and knowing I might have a chance. The position is up for the taking. As long as you work hard anything is possible.”

At what point did he realize he was going to play for a power 5 school

“At the end of the season after the Northwest game. I got an invite to come to Auburn by Ole Miss. Probably then I got an idea but it didn’t really feel like it until the Egg Bowl.”

What he thinks he brings to the Ole Miss defense

“I think I can bring leadership. I can be a stud and reliable in the middle for the Ole Miss Rebels.”

What he was told about the defensive coordinator search

“They didn’t tell me much about it. They just said they’re hiring the right person and I trust them to do that.”

His message to the Ole Miss family

"I’m giving you guys all I can and I’m going all out for you guys. Hotty Toddy."
