JaVonta Payton had over a 1,000 yards of offense this season for Hillsboro. The two-way player visited Tennessee and Ole Miss earlier this month. This week Payton will visit MTSU and Purdue.
"I'm just enjoying the process," Payton said. "I'm actually on my visit to MTSU right now."
How is the visit going?
"It's going great. I'm loving the players and coaches. They have treated me great the whole time."
What will JaVonta key on when he's on his Purdue trip?
"I just want to see how comfortable I feel when I head up there. I want to see how I bond with their players and coaches. That's really the main thing with me. I just want to see where I will be the most comfortable for the next three to four years."
Ole Miss seems to be a school he feels comfortable.
"I love their staff and players as well. I got a really good vibe on my Ole Miss trip."
"I'm still considering them as well. It's the home state school."
When will a decision be made?
"I'll make it when I come home from my Purdue trip. I'll make it before signing day."
Does he have a good idea where he's headed?
"Maybe, maybe not (laugh)."
