The Texas Tech defensive line grad transfer has already visited LSU and is expected to visit Georgia next weekend where former Ole Miss defensive line coach Trey Scott now coaches. His cousin works in the football operations department at Ole Miss. His brother was recently hired by BYU. Some believe Georgia has the upper hand with LSU nipping on their heals. We'll see if that talk changes after this weekend.

The River Ridge, LA., tight end has a top four that consists of LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss and Auburn. We have not heard Beal's name mentioned prominently in the Ole Miss circles. LSU will be hard to beat.

The Wayne County defensive tackle attended Ole Miss' first junior day in February. He skipped last weekend's junior day and went to Memphis instead. Ole Miss has offered and feels good about their position. This trip for Quentin will be about being around the players and coaches again. Relationships usually win out in the end.

The Meridian star had over 20 sacks as a junior. He had never been on the Ole Miss campus until he attended their first junior day in February. He came back with these words, "It really changed my whole mind set about Ole Miss. I can really see myself going there now." Ole Miss has gained a lot of momentum.

Kansas has made headlines by committing a handful of players from the State of Louisiana. The Jayhawks hired running back coach Tony Hull, and he has deep roots in the Bayou state. Devonta is their biggest get to date, but for some reason we don't see these commits sticking in the end.

Ole Miss has been recruiting the East Coast more as of late. The South Carolina native has Ole Miss, Duke, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, and Wisconsin at the top of his list. The Rebels offered early. It's a good sign that he'll make the trek to Oxford for the weekend. It looks like the Rebels are in the mix.

The Rebels needed a change at the linebacker position, but lets be honest, coach Bradley Dale Peveto was also brought in to land some big time recruits. He's got yet another blue chip Louisianan scheduled to come into town. That's a good sign.

Derrick Nix has taken over the recruiting territory in North Alabama from former Rebel assistant Barney Farrar. The belief is that newly hired defensive line coach, Freddie Roach, will take over this spot down the road. There has not been a lot of recruiting buzz surrounding Gavin, but Ole Miss and Mississippi State have both offered.

The Rebels are in the market to sign a big bodied receiver in this year's class after seeing them sign a couple 6-foot-1ish receivers in last year's class. The 6-foot-4 target out of Tulsa has a top list that consists of Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State.

It's no secret Ole Miss still has holes to fill at the linebacker positions. The Cincinnati native is rated as one of the top 100 overall prospects in the country. Getting him on campus is the first step. It will be interesting to see what he says about his visit when he gets home.

The state of Texas has been huge for Ole Miss during the Freeze era. The nations No.32 overall rated prospect is expected to be in town this weekend. He attends Manvel High, so did current Ole Miss players RB D'Vaughn Pennamon and S Deontay Anderson.

Webb has been a regular on the Ole Miss campus as of late. That's no surprise since he lives just around the block. The Oxford native picked up his latest offer from Alabama and Marshall. We still believe he is Ole Miss' to lose.

The Houston, Texas native is also rated one of the top 100 recruits in the country. Ole Miss linebacker coach, Bradley Dale Peveto, has recruited this area for a number of years. Woodard earned an Under Armour All-American and The Opening invite recently.
