"Any receiver wants to be in an offense like Ole Miss'," Preston said. "It's built off of the receivers making plays and that's what they do."
The Rebels passed for over 500 yards while Preston was in attendance and had two receivers go for over a 100 yards.
"They know how to get the ball in their playmakers hands. I've been watching Ole Miss for a few years no. It's Wide Receiver U. I grew up watching Laquon Treadwell. I could picture that myself. They do a great job of getting their skilled players in open spaces. It's a fun offense to watch, and I'm sure it's even a lot more fun to play in."
Jalen has two former teammates playing for Ole Miss now in S Deontay Anderson and RB D'Vaughn Pennamon. They have given him some insight on what it's like to be a Rebel.
"I was with Deontay (Anderson) all Friday night. We got to spend a lot of time together. He showed me around their campus and town. Deontay just showed me the ins and outs with Ole Miss. He says it's a great school. A special place to be. After getting a chance to see it in person I can see what he was talking about. I could really see myself at Ole Miss."
The offense that each school brings to the table will be a major factor.
"I want to go to a place that throws the ball a lot and gets it in the receivers hands a lot. I'm also looking at the quarterbacks they have on their campus."
The Ole Miss quarterbacks have also stood out.
"I went to the Texas A&M game. It was Shea Patterson's first start. He's a great quarterback. I also watched their backup quarterback in their spring game. He really impressed me a lot too. They have a good situation at Ole Miss."
Jalen started building a relationship with the Ole Miss staff during his sophomore season.
"It started last summer. Coach (Bradley Dale) Peveto and (WR coach (Jacob) Peeler have been recruiting me hard. We talk all the time. They are really good guys to get to know. I got a chance to meet all of their coaches on the visit. It's a great family environement there."
The nation's No. 6 rated receiver was not ready to name a top list but he has been on a few recent visits.
"I've been to LSU recently, and I think I'm going to Baylor sometime coming up, but I don't know yet."
The visit to Baton Rouge was a positive.
"The LSU visit was a good trip. I got to meet all the coaches. It told me more about LSU because I've already been to one of their games. They told me how the experiences are at the game. I told them that was one of the best games I've ever gone to."|
