Brookhaven defensive backs is one of the Rebels top targets

Jemaurian Jones out of Brookhaven has been rolling up offers left and right this spring. Florida State and Georgia are the latest schools to offer. The Rebels are trying to fend off the competition as they have made him a top priority. Why? We take a look at his film below.

Jemaurian Jones
Brookhaven, Miss
6-foot-0, 165
Top schools are Florida State, Ole Miss, MSU, and Georgia. All have offered Ranking: 102 CB evaluation: Jones arrived at the Nike Regional standing 6-foot-0, 165 pounds. He ran a respectable, but not flashy, 4.62 forty. But if you look further at measurements he showed great quickness with a 4.12 short shuttle. That is what you see on film. He has the ability to change his hips and make plays when the ball is in the air. Most schools project him as a nickel type back. Jemaurian currently cornerback. Although he's light in stature there is room for him to continue to fill out. What we love about his game is that he shows great balance, anticipating passes, and shows good ball skills when the ball is in the air. And most importantly, he is willing to stick is head down, hint, why many project him at safety.

Jones' recruiting picture is pretty simple right now. He favors the two instate schools (OM/MSU) along with Florida State and Georgia. We believe it will come down to a good ole battle between the Rebels and Dogs, but don't discount Florida State. He has publicly stated that he would like to play with his current teammates, OL Trace Clopton and DT Jeffery Johnson. We'll see if the Rebels can figure a way to get both of them on campus next fall. Jeffery is a priority for Ole Miss as well.
