Madison Central (Miss.) safety is drawing early attention

Madison Central safety Cameron White is one of the hottest prospects in Mississippi right now. He's collected offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, Tulane and USM this spring. What do schools like in the 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety?

Scout.com evaluation: Cameron White has collected several Power 5 offers during the spring evaluation period. What schools are seeing - at least in our estimation - is a guy who is very athletic and runs a 10.87 100-meter dash. When you watch his film you see Madison Central plays him in the box in an outside-linebacker-like position. He will stick his head in and doesn't avoid contact, which is important for the next level. White looks a little light up top, but a college strength program will take care of that issue. White shows good ball awareness and has a nose for the ball. It's hard to see how he plays in space since he's used in the box so frequently, but the straight-ahead speed is evident by his 100-meter dash.

USM was the first in-state school to offer. The Golden Eagles offered in early March. Ole Miss offered the next week. Alabama offered earlier this month. It will be interesting to see where his recruitment goes from here.
